Tobacco Road
Il progetto “TOBACCO ROAD“, presentato dalla Fondazione “Osservatorio sulla criminalità nell’agricoltura e sul sistema agroalimentare” e finanziato da OLAF – UFFICIO EUROPEO PER LA LOTTA ANTIFRODE, prevede la realizzazione di una conferenza internazionale inerente il tema della tracciabilità nel settore del tabacco.
L’iniziativa è rivolta a rappresentanti delle Forze dell’ordine, Ministeri, organi di controllo a tutela del consumatore, aziende produttrici di tabacco.
Temi principali del convegno saranno:
- L’attuazione da parte degli Stati membri del sistema di controllo e tracciabilità del tabacco e derivati (direttiva 40/14);
- L’etichettatura per le informazioni corrette nella commercializzazione di tabacco e “controllo diffuso” da parte dei consumatori attraverso un sistema di tracciabilità;
- La cooperazione con i paesi non UE da cui provengono maggiormente i prodotti illegali.
L’azione individuata risponde agli obiettivi del Programma Hercule III 2014- 2020 di trasferire e diffondere conoscenze rispetto a:
- una migliore identificazione dei rischi connessi con il traffico illecito dei prodotti del tabacco, per sostenere gli scopi investigativi
- maggiore cooperazione tra gli esperti, sia in ambito operativo che teorico
L’azione sarà realizzata nei giorni 1-2 dicembre p.v.
The project “Tobacco road” submitted by the Foundation“Osservatorio sulla criminalità nell’agricoltura e sul sistema agroalimentare” and funded by “OLAF – EUROPEAN ANTI-FRAUD OFFICE”, consists of an international conference international on the track and tracing system in the tobacco sector, aimed at representatives of Law enforcement agencies, Ministry, legal practitioners, Court/judicial staff, tobacco industries, Food Agency and Consumer Protection Office, State Revenue Services, National Agency for Fiscal Administration, Intellectual property Office.
The object of the conference are:
• The implementation by Member States of the track and tracing system (Directive 40/14 );
• The labeling for the correct information in the marketing of tobacco and “diffuse control” by consumers through the track and tracing system;
• The cooperation with non-EU countries from which most illegal products comes.
The action responds to Hercule’s goal of spreading knowledge:
– for better identification of risks associated with illicit trafficking of tobacco products, to support the investigative purposes;
– for better cooperation between the experts, both of the field and theoretical
The action will be realized in 1-2 december 2017.
This Action is supported by the European Union Programme Hercule III (2014-2020). This programme is implemented by the European Commission. It was established to promote activities in the field of the protection of the financial interests of the European Union.
